The actress who had decided to take a break from TV for some time to take care of her one-year-old child, has bagged a brand new soap in Kannada titled Varalakshmi Stores on Star Suvarna. After making her debut in Saraswathi Lakshmi Priye, she made her acting foray into Telugu television, wherein she made a mark for herself while acting for popular soaps including Rama Seeth Yekkade, which ran for over 1000 episodes. It was an unexpected journey, which is now a decade old story for Preethi Srinivas. With a masters degree in psychology from Bangalore University, she had planned a different career before fate intervened by introducing her to the small (television) world of entertainment.
